Safety is the studio's first priority: single-use sterile needles, professional-grade pigments, strict hygiene for every client, and a review of your health history before any procedure. It is still a cosmetic tattoo, so it is not risk-free — swelling and redness are a normal part of healing, colour can settle unevenly, and rarely there can be infection or a reaction to pigment. Some health conditions and medications also mean permanent makeup is not right for you. Your consultation and consent form go through all of this for your own situation before anything begins.

Natural results are the entire philosophy of the studio — 'look like yourself, only better.' Every shape and shade is custom-designed for your face, and nothing is done until you approve the design in the mirror.

Microblading typically lasts 12–24 months; lip blush 2–3 years; permanent eyeliner 2–4 years. Skin type, sun exposure, and lifestyle all affect longevity.

Professional topical numbing is applied before and during every PMU procedure, and most clients are surprised by how comfortable it is. Sensitivity does differ from person to person, and some areas are more tender than others — tell Narmela at any point if you would like a pause.

A $50 deposit secures your appointment time and is applied toward your service total. Reschedule with at least 48 hours' notice and your deposit moves with you to the new date, one time, free of charge. A second move forfeits the deposit, even with 48 hours' notice, and a new deposit books the new date. Cancel outright with at least 48 hours' notice and the deposit is refunded in full. Cancellations or reschedules with less than 48 hours' notice, and no-shows, forfeit the deposit. Full details are on the Booking Policy page.

Touch-up pricing is only for work originally done at Narmela PMU Studio, and it depends only on how long it has been since your first session — not on whether you had an earlier touch-up. Microblading: $120 up to 2 months after your first session (ideally at 4–6 weeks); $300 after 2 months and under a year; full price ($450) at a year or more. Lip blush: $150 from about 40 days to 2 months after your first session; $300 after 2 months and under a year; full price ($450) at a year or more. Eyeliner: $120 at 4–8 weeks after your first session; $250 after 8 weeks and under a year; full price ($350) at a year or more. Work originally done by another artist must be assessed in person first and does not automatically qualify for touch-up pricing.

Expect the area to appear darker and more defined for the first week, then soften as it heals. Surface healing takes 7–14 days; true healed colour settles by 4–6 weeks.

Keep makeup off the treated area until it has fully surface-healed (about 10–14 days). Everywhere else is fine.

PMU is not performed on clients who are pregnant or nursing, or undergoing chemotherapy. Some skin conditions in the treatment area — active eczema, psoriasis or dermatitis, a flare-up or infection, or a tendency to keloid scarring — also mean it isn't right for you, and some medications and health conditions need your doctor's clearance first.
